Hi, I’m Ina — a Registered Dietitian who was recently in your shoes. When I started preparing for the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE), I quickly realized how overwhelming the process could feel. The available resources were scattered across textbooks, notes, and online materials, and none of them seemed to bring everything together in a clear, structured way that aligned with the exam blueprint.
Like many future dietitians, I wasn’t sure where to begin or how to manage my study time. Balancing placement, work, and daily life while trying to stay focused on exam prep was a real challenge — and I know I’m not alone in that.
While I was preparing for the exam, my colleague Dora shared the notes she had created during her own CDRE study journey. They were thoughtful, detailed, and gave me a great starting point to make sense of the material.
With her permission, I built on that foundation and developed a more comprehensive study system aligned with the Alliance of Dietetic Regulatory Bodies 2025 CDRE Blueprint. The goal was to make exam prep clearer, more organized, and easier to manage. What began as a helpful set of notes has grown into a full study guide that many future dietitians now use as part of their preparation for the CDRE — and even for the KCAT.
This isn’t just a collection of notes — it’s a structured study resource designed to help you approach the exam with more clarity and confidence. Every section is aligned with the current CDRE Blueprint and presented in a way that’s organized and approachable.
Inside the CDRE Study Guide, you’ll find:
📘 A fully structured system based on the 2025 CDRE Blueprint
🗓️ Study schedules for both accelerated (2-month) and steady-pace (4-month) timelines
📝 A bank of 185+ practice questions to check your knowledge and practice timing
🔁 Detailed answer rationales, plus additional practice questions
🔗 Access to a private Facebook community for peer support and discussion
🧠 Practical tools to make your study process more focused and manageable
independent
When I was preparing for the CDRE, I was a dietetic student balancing internship rotations, long commutes, late-night study sessions, and all the uncertainty that comes with entering a regulated profession.
There were many moments where I doubted if I was focusing on the right things, but I kept moving forward — not perfectly, but consistently.
That’s why creating this guide has been so meaningful to me. I know first-hand what it feels like to be on this path, and my goal was to provide a resource that helps future dietitians feel more supported, organized, and confident during their own preparation journey.
